Westminster Highlights on Foot

Westminster Highlights on Foot!

2 to 4 hours

Royal history fans will love this tour!

Power, royalty, religion. Westminster is the heart of Government, the Royal Family and one of our oldest religious institutions.

Allow me to introduce you to one of London's oldest boroughs. There is so much to see and do during a half day tour of Westminster on foot.

Marvel at Big Ben, walk through Parliament Square, London’s first roundabout and the centre of many protests in the Capital. We’ll take a stroll through St James's Park and see the ducks, swans and... pelicans (yes for real) that can often be found on Duck Island. We may even get to see the Changing of the Guards if touring during the morning, weather and timings permitting (the guards can’t be ruining their brass instruments in the rain)!

I'll show you the best spot to get some great photos of Buckingham Palace and tell you the story of when somebody illegally gained entry not just to the Palace but to the Queen’s very own bedroom just forty-ish years ago. I'll connect everything that we'll be seeing: the Royal Palaces, Whitehall (the centre of the U.K. Government) and Trafalgar Square with the history of the area, with some modern-day film locations stories thrown in for good measure, including those included in the Harry Potter films!

Within this historic part of London are some of the finest visitor attractions.
Maybe you'd prefer to mix up the walking tour a little and spend half of our time outside and half inside for example.

Site options include our royal church; Westminster Abbey, the Churchill War Rooms; epicentre of the British war effort during WWII and/or the Banqueting House, home to the stunning collection of ceiling paintings by Sir Peter Paul Rubens as well as the Royal Mews; the Queen’s stables neighbouring Buckingham Palace.

Each site can take up to one to two hours to visit, within this - up to - four hour Classic London tour.

Please note each of the sites mentioned require paid for entry tickets in order to visit.
Should this interest you, please get in touch. I'd be happy to discuss further and make arrangements should you want me too.
